to ensure the health and quality of both your natural hair and your extensions please take the time to review our at home care instructions thoroughly

To CLEANSE

  • Brush hair to remove any tangles and to prevent matting before showering.

  • Use a sulfate free shampoo + conditioner to prolong your hair color and extensions. We suggest Bellami brand.

  • Gently shampoo all of your natural hair, and in between your rows as well.

  • We suggest a double shampoo to fully clean the hair. (three shampoos if your hair is extra dirty). Be sure to add more water to create a nice lather.

  • Rinse well. Do not leave any product behind.

  • Apply a moisturizing conditioner to the ends of your natural hair and extensions. For even distribution and to seal down the cuticle, use a Wet Brush and brush the conditioner through your hair and extensions (hold the top of your wefts while brushing).

  • Rinse well. Do not leave any product behind.

  • We recommend a weekly mask to strengthen, hydrate + nourish your hair.

 

BRUSH, BLOW DRY. +STYLE

    • First, spray in Unite seven seconds all throughout your hair.
      Using a Wet Brush, start from the ends of your hair and work
      your way up (hold the top of your wefts to avoid too much
      tension).

    • Be sure to brush all the way to the top of the weft, ensuring
      there is no matting and tangling at the very top.

    • We suggest clipping everything up except your natural hair
      underneath your bottom row, and start your brushing with that
      moving up each section as you go.

    • Next, drop down your bottom row and brush that out.

    • Next, drop out your natural hair in between the two rows, and
      brush that out.

    • Next, drop out your top row and brush that out.

    • Finally, drop out your natural that is on top to complete the
      brushing process.

    • Apply a heat protectant like “leaf and flower: 7 minUte blowout”.

    • Rough dry your hair 80% of the way (No tugging at the extensions
      with a round brush or comb. Use only your hands and fingers.)

    • For a faster blow dry, section out each row and rough dry them
      separately.

    • You can use a round brush and a small amount of tension to
      smooth your hair and the extensions, the last 20% of your blow
      dry.

During sleep

  • Apply a hydrating oil on the mid shaft to ends (we recommend olaplex Oil) and then brush thoroughly ensuring there are no tangles from the top of the wefts to the bottom and make sure you’re going to bed with DRY hair (especially at the top of the wefts).
  • Do one or two loose braids and secure with a silk scrunchie. A loose low pony is another option.
  • Sleep on a silk pillowcase if you can. This will help reduce frizz and tangling throughout the night.

We focus on proper tension control, clean sectioning, and strategic placement to prevent unnecessary strain on the scalp and natural hair. When properly installed and maintained, sew-in extensions should not damage your natural hair. Damage typically occurs from excessive tension, improper removal, or poor maintenance. Our luxury sew-in method is designed to support long-term hair integrity.

Most clients wear their sew-in extensions for 6–8 weeks before a move-up is required. Longevity depends on scalp growth rate, at-home care, and lifestyle.

Sew-in extensions can We do not recommend lightening extensions; however, we often tone or custom color them to achieve the ideal match. We can explore the safest options for your desired results during your consultation or at any time thereafter.

A properly installed sew-in should feel secure but not painful. Mild tightness may be felt within the first 24–48 hours, but discomfort should not persist. We prioritize tension control to ensure a comfortable, scalp-friendly installation.

Step 1- Consultation

This is when we will discuss your goals + expectations. You will receive transparent information on pricing and maintenance. If you decide to move forward, we will color match you + check our in-store inventory or order the necessary hair. Please remember
that payment for the hair is required at the time the order is placed.

Step 2- Installation Appointment

This is the moment  when your hair dreams will become a reality.

ICON combines extension artistry with scalp health expertise. As a head spa-focused salon, we approach every sew-in installation with long-term hair integrity in mind — not just immediate volume.

The pricing for extensions will significantly vary due to several factors. During your consultation, we will go through a complete quote, but typically, a full installation begins at $300, in addition to the cost of the hair.
